Wildan Indra Sugara

Wildan Indra Sugara (b. 1994, Bandung) is a Bandung-based artist. Graduated from Sculpture Studio, Faculty of Art And Design, Bandung Institute of Technology in 2018. 

Wildan mostly works with three dimensional objects as the media and using cement or concrete as its medium. He uses and borrows daily objects and then casts them into concrete or other materials, and furthermore applies several texts and quotes of various ideas and concepts. In his work he usually incorporates social issues and narratives, i.e how the relation between social and the objects affects social behavior. Sometimes he also tries to build up the narrative of the art world itself.

Wildan has participated in many exhibitions in Indonesia and abroad, showing his incredible talent and passion for the arts. He's also a Winner of “Laju/Speed” Trimatra Salihara Competition, Salihara Community Gallery, Jakarta in 2019.

His fresh perspective and creative talent are sure to make this printmaking residency an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to see the unique artwork he created during his time here at Devfto.
