Lithography

Lithography is a process that uses a flat stone or metal plate on which the image areas are worked using a greasy substance so that the ink will adhere, while the non-image areas are made ink-repellent)

Lithography is a planographic printing process conventionally done on a flat stone, but more contemporarily done on a metal plate. Devfto practices this rare printmaking technique, most commonly using ball grained aluminum plates. Both pencil and wash drawing effects can be done on this plate, producing the excellent details of ones drawing on the matrix.
