Dewa Made Johana

Made Dewa Johana is a young artist who has been exploring printmaking art since University. Many of his early works are constructs of linocut and carborundum print techniques. In the last of couple of years, Johana started to develop his works using old archive photos, fusing them into print works with a combination of relief, intaglio and cyanotype. Through this process, Johana’s works look into the realm of preservations.

“I aim to reach the old-photo look-a-like, with the moldy and faded colour effect which I can get through the cyanotype and screenprint technique”, as Johanna mentioned.
